CNYC is proud to present youth artwork from our digital storytelling program, Word on the Street (WOTS) at SCYAP Inc. from May 24-June 2nd, 2017. This exhibit showcases both completed and in-development projects made by youth that are registered in WOTS programming. A wide range of projects are currently on display, including lyrics and recorded songs, photo essays, photography accompanied by poetry, a demo of an in-production documentary on bow making, as well as behind the scenes footage of interviews with two local celebrities: newly elected Mayor of Saskatoon, Charlie Clark, and basketball sensation Michael Linklater! This diverse showcase illustrates emerging artists from the core of Saskatoon.
CNYC is thankful to the Saskatchewan Arts Board for their generous support and assistance in creating an environment for youth opportunity and self-expression through the digital arts.
“My dreams are coming true” – male youth WOTS participant, age 19.
