CNYC welcomes all youth between the ages of 12-25 to come down and learn the cultural significance of the drum. Over the course of 6 days, youth will learn how to construct a drum while working in the CNYC woodshop, as well as hear the stories and lessons associated to it. All materials are provided with hands-on guidance from our cultural coordinators.

The CNYC Community Circle is a talking circle focused on healing and is open to anyone. These circles happen every Wednesday at CNYC, cancelled sessions will be posted on our Facebook page.

On June 2nd, CNYC will be hosting a Potluck Supper to recognize the participants of this years' YMCA Youth Exchange. Join us for an evening of food, fun and presentations by youth from Saskatoon and Toronto. We will also be thanking our community partners and funders.

CNYC is excited to announce that we have shot and submitted a film for the 2016 Super 8 Event, hosted by PAVED Arts, happening June 8th at the Roxy Theatre on 20th Street. Make sure to head down to this free event for a night of short films made by Saskatoon artists and check out our project about CNYC! See you there!

United Way’s Day of Caring is an opportunity for our organization and the individuals we serve to benefit from volunteer contributions provided by individuals from various businesses and unions in our community. This year we are excited to partner with RBC for our 2016 project: “Clean Up the Core”! Spring cleaning at CNYC has become a bit of a tradition, and RBC volunteers will help get the place in tip-top shape from the inside out.

Putting wheels to social justice! This is an annual fundraiser in honour of Howard Willems, who was a tireless social justice advocate and avid cyclist. This event is to help raise funds for the CNYC. The bike-a-thon is a leisurely ride from our starting point to Beaver Creek Conservation Site. We will enjoy the sites and a snack before heading back to the starting point. There will be a BBQ afterward for all riders. Registration is $10. All riders are encouraged to collect donations from friends and family to pledge your ride.
